The prop rod slides up and down as you open and close your hood. In the up position, the prop rod locks with a thumbscrew so the hood can’t fall or be knocked over. This also prevents the wind from knocking your hood over. Rods are made from polished stainless steel with polished aluminum ends. Available for ‘28-’36 cars with three-piece hoods and ‘37-’38 Fords.

CNC-machined aluminum housings feature ball milled lines to enhance the surface of the latch. The stainless latch pin is threaded for adjustment, with a tube to hide the threads after adjustment is made. To add to the clean appearance, the release springs and safety hook spring are hidden. The bottom latch slide is stainless with an easy cable hook-up. Also provided in the housing is a built-in, machined cable housing clamp that anchors the cable housing to the latch body. Designed for cars with front opening hoods, this latch is available in satin or polished finish. Stainless screws and instructions provided; pull cable assemblies available.

These kits make it easier to install door handles when using bearjaw latches. The inside kit uses standard square shank Ford handles. The outside kit bolts into the door and the outside handle shank slips through it; then hook up rods from the lever to the latch lever. Both kits are spring loaded to return handle to original position.

This kit makes installing latches a lot easier and faster. The latch plate is machined to fit the latch and simply welds into the door after trimming out a section where you want the latch to be. The striker bolt plate has a floating nut so you can adjust the striker after installation. It also welds into the post. Stainless screws included
